FROM PLAYER TO STRINGER TO SELLER
I never planned to turn the love for tennis into a business—it just happened, one string at a time.
From a young age, I lived on the court. Early mornings, late afternoons, weekends—it didn’t matter. Tennis wasn’t just a sport; it was a rhythm, a discipline, a constant pursuit of something better. It was something I attended every Saturday with my dad at the local club, learning as I went along.
Like many passionate players, I became obsessed with the details: grip, balance, tension. Eventually, curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to invest in my own stringing machine—partly to save costs, but mostly to understand his game on a deeper level. At first, it was just for myself. Then a friend asked. Then another. Before long, my evenings were filled with rackets instead of rallies. Word spread quickly—my attention to detail, consistency, and genuine care for each player’s setup made my the go-to stringer in our circles. What started as a favor slowly revealed itself as an opportunity.
But the passion didn’t stop at strings. I loved the game in its entirety—the competition, the community, the energy of a good match. Naturally, he began organizing small tennis tournaments. What began as casual gatherings evolved into well-run events, bringing players together and building a local tennis community that shared the enthusiasm. It was at one of these tournaments that a chance conversation changed everything. The representative from Babolat, who noticed the passion, the growing network, and the hands-on involvement in the sport, suggested they get involved. It started as a sponsorship for one of the tournaments. We had a conversation after the tournament. The suggestion was simple: “Why not sell some of our older stock online?”
It planted a seed. Combining our growing reputation, deep understanding of players’ needs, and an entrepreneurial spark, I launched an online store. What should have started with a few products quickly grew into something more—a trusted space for tennis players to find quality gear, backed by someone who truly understood the game.
Today, the journey stands as proof that sometimes the best businesses aren’t planned—they evolve naturally from passion, persistence, and a willingness to say yes to opportunity.
